Eight Milimeter or 8MM is a very disturbing film even though you don't see any
explicitly violent scene in it. It is a movie about movies, snuff films, in which dead victims actually get killed.
Or you can say that murder is filmed.
Welles is hired by an old lady widow of a millionaire who has shortly passed away.
The lady discovered, among her husband's assets, a roll of 8MM film. In the film,
a young girl gets raped and killed. She is quite disturbed by the footage and wants
to be reassured that it is just a movie and the girl is alive and well. She hires Welles
to investigate the case and locate the missing girl.
The old lady was too optimistic. The scene below is when Welles gets closer to resolving the mystery
and finally finds the producer of the film, Dino Velvet. He pretends to be interesting in making a snuff film.
He walks into Velvet's office with Max, his assistant who has a vast knowledge of pronography.
