Job and work are quite similar; however, their usage is not the same.
Both of them have many meanings and these meanings are closely related as well.
The way to distinguish them is through studying the examples of their usage.
A job is a paid position
of regular employment such as a part-time job and a summer job.
It also includes a responsibility.
For example:
During the economic crisis, thousands of people lost their jobs.
He is out looking for a job every day, but he has been unlucky.
Your job is to take care of the guests.
A job can refer to a piece of work or a task.
For example:
Raising a child is a difficult job. It requires a lot of work.
When you finish ironing, I have another job for you.
On the other hand, work involves a physical or mental strength.
For example:
He doesnt mind hard work as long as it pays well.
Work in construction is not suitable for young boys.
Work can be task that needs to be done and music or art work.
For example:
I have a lot of work to do.
The works of Leonardo Da Vinci are very much appreciated.
