Childish and Childlike are both adjectives. They both have something to do with a child.
They are both used to describe a person or his/her action. They are so similar; thats why,
we are confused over them.
Childish and Childlike mean like a child. However, the connotation is the opposite.
Childish means immature like a child.
It has negative meaning while childlike has positive meaning.
It means innocent or cute like a child.
For example:
My two bothers are childish. They still fight over little things like children fighting over toys or candies.
You dont have to be so childish to be upset about losing your handkerchief.
Hes still young at heart. People love him because hes childlike.
Her childlike smiles charm the whole world.
Note:
Childish = immature like a child
Childlike = innocent or cute like a child
