People get confused with how to call the place in which they live, stay, visit, etc.
This week we have collected some of the words concerning places we call home.
Home (n.) 1. place where one lives, especially with one's family
place where one was born or one has lived for a long time, where one feels comfortable.
For example:
You must go home now.
Make your self at home.
We are going home for Christmas.
I now live in Bangkok but Ayutthaya is always my home.
House (n.) a building made for people to live in
Many new houses have been built.
Other forms of place where people live in
Lodge (n.) small house at the gates of a park or
in the grounds of a large house, occupied by a gate-keeper or an employee
There is a small lodge at the entrance of his big house.
Habitat (n.) natural environment of an animal or a plant
This creature's habitat is the jungle.
Dwelling (n.) place of living or residence: a house, flat etc. (formal)
This flat is my humble dwelling.
Note:
A house is made of bricks but a home is made of love.
