The Age of the Classics refers to that of the Greek and Roman.
Their ideas originate many other western ideas such as democracy and education.
When we see things of top quality, we call them classic, not necessarily related to Greek
and Roman culture.
For example:
The restaurant has a classic look.
Mike bought a classic painting at the auction.
He thinks his Ford Mustang is a classic.
Gone with the Wind is an all-time classic.
Classic is an adjective; it can also be a noun.
As an adjective, classic means of top or excellent quality, or belonging to a high class
or with acceptably good taste. Classic, as a noun, is an object such as painting, book, and artwork.
That is of top quality or has an excellent taste.
Classics, with an s, is a noun. It refers to the ancient language of the Greek and Roman.
Classical is an adjective. It is used to modify art and literature.
It means of Greek and Latin.
For example:
She is interested in classical literature.
The Pantheon depicts the aesthetic values in the classical concept.
Classical architecture is classic.
Classical music is music by great composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart,
and Tchaikovsky.

Classic (adj.) = of top or excellent quality
Classic (n.) = an object of top or excellent quality
Classics (n.) = ancient language of the Greek and Roman
Classical (adj.) = (art and literature) of Latin and Greek
