We were at the party last night when some drunken guy pointed his cigarette at me said, Fancy a fag?
I was taken back and plainly said no.
How bizarre this country is! How could he and why would he offer me a fag?
A fag? No, not for me, thank you.

A fag is a slang term for a homosexual.
I didnt understand why that guy asked me if I liked gay.
How puzzling. I should also tell you that in British English,
people say fancy a lot for liking or desiring something. Fancy this,
fancy that all the time. If you fancy someone,
that means you like the person or find him/her attractive.
You can say you fancy a cup of coffee.
That means you would like a cup of coffee,
whether or not the coffee is attractive.
I definitely dont fancy a fag. Im not even a guy to become gay.
I am not homophobic or anything, but all this was really strange for me.
