This morning I saw a poster of a play at Patrawadee Theatre called Hellenium.
The picture on the poster looked like a Greek lady because of the texture of her robe.
I got all excited, thinking this is going to be a play about the Trojan war and Helen,
the most beautiful woman in the world. I called a few friends up and asked whether
they wanted to see it. Funny enough, Jim said she was just thinking of me because
she has read about a restaurant called Lan Hin Teak run by Patrawadee.
So the plan for this Saturday was to go to this restaurant and see the play.
In the afternoon I called the theater but I was disappointed to find out that it's
a comedy about a model's life. Her name is Helen, played by Helen Pratumrat
a former beauty queen. Another character in the play is called Illium.
Together they are 'Hellenium'-what a disrespect! To me Greek and Roman myths
(other than Shakespeare) are sacred. Nin said the play didn't sound so bad since
it involved some inner conflict and stuff. But to me anything less than
my expectation is not worth my time. I was really down since my emotions
was built up for something classic. |

เมื่อเช้านี้ฉันเห็นโปสเตอร์ละครเรื่องเฮเลนเนียมของภัทราวดีเธียร์เตอร์
ภาพในโปสเตอร์ดูเหมือนผู้หญิงกรีก เพราะว่าริ้วของผ้าเหมือนของกรีก
ฉันตื่นเต้นมากเพราะคิดว่าจะได้ดูละครเกี่ยวกับสงครามเมืองทรอยและเฮเลน
ซึ่งเป็นผู้หญิงที่สวยที่สุดในโลก ฉันโทรไปหาเพื่อนสองสามคนเพื่อชวนไปดูละครเรื่องนี้
ประหลาดมากที่พี่จิ๋มก็กำลังคิดถึงฉันอยู่เหมือนกัน เพราะเธอไปอ่านเกี่ยวกับร้านอาหารร้านหนึ่ง
ชื่อลานหินแตกซึ่งเป็นของภัทราวดีเหมือนกัน เราเลยนัดกันว่าเสาร์นี้จะไปทานข้าวที่นั่นและดูละครด้วยเลย
ตอนบ่ายฉันจึงโทรไปที่โรงละคร แต่กลับต้องผิดหวังที่มันเป็นละครเกี่ยวกับชีวิตนางแบบคนหนึ่งชื่อเฮเลน
ซึ่งแสดงโดย เฮเลน ปทุมรัตน์ อดีตนางงาม มีตัวละครอีกตัวในเรื่องชื่ออีเลียม สองคนกลายเป็นเฮเลนเนียม
ช่างเป็นการลบหลู่กันจริงๆ สำหรับฉันแล้วตำนานกรีกและโรมัน (นอกจากงานเขียนของเชคสเปียร์)
เป็นของสูง นินว่าละครเรื่องนี้คงไม่เลวหรอกเพราะมันเป็นปมปัญหาทางจิดของตัวละคร
แต่สำหรับฉันแล้วอะไรก็ตามที่ต่ำกว่าความคาดหมายเป็นเรื่องเสียเวลา ฉันผิดหวังมากจริงๆ
เพราะหวังว่าจะได้ดูอะไรคลาสสิกสักหน่อย |

Oh, well, there is a series of plays at the Mall Ngam Wong Wan though.
Twelve plays will be performed by kids. I forgot the name of the project but this also sounded like fun.
They have Animal Farm, Phra Apaimanee, Oscar Wild's stories, Sadako and many other classic works.
I would love to see them. The ticket costs only 50 baht. I called around and met another
disappointment because the show time is not convenient for me.
I have to go to work this Saturday and Ayutthaya this Sunday.
I can't go to see any play this weekend. This is too bad.
Why can't you stop the time for me so that I can get everything done.
I'm not blaming you. I know you do your best. Talk to you tomorrow.

เอาเถอะ ยังมีละครที่เดอะมอล์ล งามวงศ์วาน มีทั้งหมดหกชุดด้วยกันซึ่งเป็นละครที่เด็กแสดง
ฉันลืมชื่อโครงการแต่ฟังดูสนุกดี เขาละเล่น Animal Farm พระอภัยมณี นิทานของออสการ์ ไวลด์ ซาดาโกะ
และเรื่องคลาสสิกอื่นๆ ฉันอยากไปดูจริงๆ บัตรราคาเพียง 50 บาทเท่านั้น
ฉันโทรไปถามข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมแต่ก็ต้องผิดหวังอีกเพราะเวลาไม่เหมาะสม
ฉันต้องไปทำงานวันเสาร์นี้ แล้ววันอาทิตย์ก็ต้องไปอยุธยา ฉันไปดูช่วงสุดสัปดาห์นี้ไม่ได้
แย่จริงๆ ทำไมเธอช่วยฉันหยุดเวลาไว้ไม่ได้นะ ฉันจะได้มีเวลาไปทำทุกอย่างให้เสร็จ ฉันไม่ได้โทษเธอหรอกนะ
ฉันรู้ว่าเธอทำดีที่สุดแล้ว ไว้คุยกันต่อพรุ่งนี้นะ รักษาตัวด้วย ราตรีสวัสดิ์ กรุงเทพ |
