LA is a huge city. It spreads out everywhere. Wherever you go, you have to get on the
highway and have to drive very far. Nobody walks in LA. Bee and I thought we should buy
or make a t-shirt that says 'route 101' on it since we spend a lot of time on it. |

แอลเอเป็นเมืองใหญ่มาก แผ่ไปทุกทิศทุกทาง ไม่ว่าจะไปไหนก็ต้องขึ้นไฮเวย์ และขับรถไปไกล ๆ
ไม่มีใครเขาเดินกันหรอกในแอลเอ ฉันกับบีคิดว่าเราจะซื้อ หรือทำเสื้อขึ้นมาแล้วเขียนบนเสื้อว่า 'Route 101'
เพราะว่าเรากินนอนกันบนนั้น |

In the morning we went to Santa Monica pier. It's very foggy and cold in the morning.
Who would want to go to the beach that early in the morning except us crazy tourists from
Thailand? It cleared up as the day advanced. We drove around UCLA. It's an impressive campus.
I will definitely check out their program and apply for the next academic year. You can really
see from the buildings which departments are the pride of the uni. Engineering and Applied
Sciences are. Their buildings are gigantic and in the same color. |

ตอนเช้าเราไปหาดซานตาโมนิก้ากัน หมอกลงหนามาก และเย็นด้วย
ใครที่ไหนจะอยากไปหาดทรายตอนเช้าขนาดนั้น นอกจากพวกนักท่องเที่ยวเสียสติจากเมืองไทย
พอตะวันสูงขึ้นหมอกก็จางลง เราขับรถรอบ UCLA มหา'ลัยใหญ่มาก ฉันจะลองดูว่าเขามีการเรียนการสอนอะไรบ้าง
และจะลองสมัครดูปีหน้า เราสามารถบอกได้เลยว่าคณะไหนเป็นหน้าเป็นตาของมหา'ลัย ดูจากหน้าตาของตึกเรียนก็รู้
วิศวกรรมศาสตร์ และวิทยาศาสตร์ประยุกต์ดูใหญ่โตมากเลย และเป็นสีเดียวกันด้วย |

The university is definitely huge and it gets a lot of visitors. There are drive-thru
information boothes around the uni. These info boothes look like parking ticket
collecting boothes but they are for directions. You can drive up to them
and ask an assistance for directions. You will be given a university map and
directions. They are very good. |

มหา'ลัยใหญ่มาก และวันหนึ่งๆ มีคนเข้ามาเยอะ เขามีบูทให้ข้อมูลอยู่ตามจุดต่าง ๆ
ในมหา'ลัยบูทให้ข้อมูลที่ว่านี้หน้าตาเหมือนตู้รับบัตรจอดรถ แต่มีไว้ให้ถามทาง เราสามารถขับรถเข้าไปขอความช่วยเหลือ
หรือถามทางได้ เขาจะให้แผนที่มหา'ลัยด้วย บูทพวกนี้ดีมากเลย |

Then we cruised around China town. The sun was stronger than that in
Bangkok's summer. By the time we got to Universal Studio, it's almost 5 and to pay 43
dollars each to get in was not worth it so we just walked around the city walk.

หลังจากนั้นเราไปไชน่าทาวน์ แดดร้อนกว่าเมืองไทยหน้าร้อนเสียอีก พอไปถึงยูนิเวอร์ซัล
สตูดิโอก็ปาเข้าไปห้าโมงเย็นแล้ว และต้องเสียค่าเข้าคนละ 43 เหรียญ ไม่คุ้มค่าเลย
เราจึงแค่เดินเล่นแถวข้างหน้า วันนี้ก็เหนื่อยอีกวัน ราตรีสวัสดิ์ กรุงเทพฯ |
