The other day, I went shopping with some friends at Covent Garden.
We looked into one boutique, which had some furry coats and dresses with frill or huge flowers.
Most of the items were red or gold if not sparking black. You got the picture.
We walked around sniggering about the clothes in the shop, look at this, look at that one, and laughed.
Then one of the girls said, its OTT, isnt it?

เมื่อวันก่อนฉันไปชอปปิ้งกับเพื่อนแถวคอฟเวนการ์เด้น
เราเข้าไปดูร้านเสื้อผ้าร้านหนึ่งซึ่งขายเสื้อโค้ทที่มีขน และชุดกระโปรงที่มีลูกไม้ย้วย
ติดโบ มีชายร่มร่ามหรือดอกไม้ช่อโตติดอยู่ สินค้าส่วนใหญ่เป็นสีแดงสดหรือสีทอง
หรือไม่ก็เป็นสีดำแต่มีอะไรระยิบระยับติดอยู่ เธอพอจะเห็นภาพไหม
พวกเราเดินดูแล้วก็ต่างพากันหัวเราะคิกคัก ชี้ชวนกันดูเสื้อผ้า
ดูนั่นสิ ดูอันนี้สิ แล้วก็หัวเราะกันใหญ่ แล้วเพื่อนคนหนึ่งก็บอกว่า มันออกจะโอทีทีใช่ไหมหล่ะ |

The funny thing about it was that OTT was supposed to be a code,
a secret message, you use when you dont want others to know that you are talking about them.
In fact, its a common code and everyone knows what it means.
You dont? Then, you are not part of the secret community. All right,
I will let you into the group. It is short for over the top, which means way too much, to an extreme.

My friend kept it low because she didnt want to offend other people in the shop,
who might like that kind of stuff. But for us, its so OTT.
