Suay, Bee and I arranged to meet in Berkeley at 11.
I was to go to stay in a hotel with Bee at night so
I showed up with my overnight pack and believe
me it's not small. I was sitting in front of the BART
station writing postcards and waiting for them.
A guy who sat next to me started small talks with
me and he suggested that we walked around
together after dropping my night pack off at his
place which is ten minute walk from the station.
It was 1 pm when we left. I called Suay to call
me back on his cell phone. His name is
Brian by the way.

Suay never called back. Brian and I walked
around Berkeley. We took a stroll down
Telegraph Avenue and UC Berkeley.
A lovely place. We went up the clock tower
and saw the city. I decided to give Suay
another ring before we went into the art gallery.
It was 3 o'clock. I got Suay yelling at me, "Where
have you been? We have been looking for
you all over the place. We are so tired
and hungry." My reply was "Why didn't you
call me back?". It was stupid.

Her point was that I forgot friends and
walked off with the total stranger. My point
was that she was late and I called but she
didn't answer and didn't call back. Her
reply was that I should have called back
and I said I did. It was a stupid idea to walk
around a strange town looking for one
person. We both had a phone but she didn't
use it. And we started right back at the first
line of this paragraph. It went on forever.

She even called Brent to ask where I was.
Thank god. The whole city would be
worried about me. I gave Brent a call
right away. He said he was not worried
because he knew I was alright. Thanks
for the confidence in me. He asked me
whether they had found me and I said,
"no, I found THEM." Suay had no sense
of directions and I don't know why Bee
hadn't said anything. To walk around town
looking for someone is a stupid idea.
What were they thinking anyway?
