Over the weekend, I met someone
very funny. Pin and I planned to have
a girls' night -out on our own.
Her boyfriend was nice enough to
give us a ride. He dropped us off
at the Spasso at the Grand Hyatte
Erawan Hotel and went of to a bowling
night with his friends from work.
We had a great time at the pub.
The band was great and we just
danced the night away. Pin's
boyfriend came back to pick
us up at 1, but we weren't ready
to call it the night yet. He happened
to have some friends with him.
Among his friends, there was this
guy who took much interest in me.
He was coming on to me. I didn't
mind him, but I didn't want to take
it further, either. I was just being
friendly to a friend of my best friend's
boyfriend. Have I lost you somewhere?
Still with me? Good.

ช่วงสุดสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมาฉันพบใครคนหนึ่งซึ่งตลกมาก
ฉันกับพินวางแผนจะไปเที่ยวกันตามประสาผู้หญิง แฟน
เขาน่ารักมากที่อาสามารับมาส่ง เขาขับรถไปส่งเราที่
สปาโซ โรงแรมแกรนด์ไฮแอต เอราวัณ แล้วก็ไปเล่น
โบว์ลิ่งกับเพื่อน ๆ ที่ทำงาน เราสนุกกันมาก วงดนตรีเล่น
ดีมาก และเราก็เต้นกันทั้งคืน แฟนพินกลับมารับตอนตี
หนึ่ง แต่เรายังไม่อยากกลับ บังเอิญเขาพาเพื่อนมาด้วย
ในหมู่เพื่อนของเขา มีชายคนหนึ่งซึ่งทำทีสนใจฉันมาก
เขาจีบฉันว่างั้นเถอะ ฉันไม่ได้รังเกียจแต่ก็ไม่ได้อยากหา
เรื่องยุ่งยากใส่ตัว ฉันแค่เป็นมิตรกับเพื่อนของแฟนเพื่อน
เธองงไหม ยังตามทันใช่ไหม ดีมาก

Actually I didn't like the guy because
he came on to me too strongly.
I don't want to give up my freedom yet.
Besides, I don't want to leave anyone
behind when I go to America next year.
Anyway, he offered to give me a ride
home and you know the drill. But like
I said, I was not interested, so I went
home with my friend.

The next morning and the day after
the guy gave me a call. He was all right
on the phone. I talked to him a little bit.
Still he hadn't moved me. He is not
my type. He is way out of my league.
I need someone with at least two
degrees, driving a Mercedez and
having big bucks to spend. Did
I mention that he's got to be stunningly
gorgeous? He is. I'm keeping myself
available until this guy comes along.

Tonight Pin called me up to tell
me to watch out for this guy.
He's got a baby girl somewhere
out of town. He has bad reputation
with girls. He always gets them and
dumps them later. What's more,
he's been bragging about me to
people at work and even to her
boyfriend. He said that I came
on to him, that he was not really
interested but I persisted, that we
had a sexy night and that we arranged
to go to Pattaya together over this
weekend. He was gonna get me.
I had a good laugh at this. It's
probably the best laugh of the month.

Pin didn't find it funny at all.
Nor did her boyfriend. They felt
responsible that they led this guy
to me. This guy is ruining my reputation
and that I became a hot piece of
dessert in the work place. I even
managed to laugh this off.

พินไม่เห็นว่ามันน่าขำตรงไหน แฟนพินก็เหมือนกัน เขา
รู้สึกรับผิดชอบที่นำคนแบบนี้มาสู่ชีวิตฉัน นายคนนี้ทำฉัน
เสียชื่อ และฉันกลายเป็นขนมหวานในที่ทำงานเขาให้เม้า
เล่น แต่ฉันคิดว่ามันน่าขำมาก

First of all, I never thought that
such kind of person exists in
real life, outside my TV set or
radio soap. It's nice to know
someone so different. I started
to be really interested in this guy.
I want to study him. Pin said I wouldn't
be a good idea. He has a trait of
someone who resorts to violence
and all means available to get
whatever he wants.

Concerning my bad reputation,
it's bad enough as it is. Ha ha. Okay,
let's be serious. Those people who
believe his statement don't know me.
If they have active brains, they wouldn't
believe that a girl of my class would
go into a trash can, looking for a rotten
piece of meat while I can walk into the
Oriental and have anything I want.
That's if I ever wanted anything. If they
do listen to him, why should I bother
to feel something about a bunch of
airheads who don't even know me.
I wouldn't mind if I could provide
some entertainment at work to
some people who have a plain day.
