Guess what! เป็นการแนะนำเข้าสู่เรื่องที่เราอยากพูด ส่วนใหญ่คนที่เราพูดด้วยไม่ลองทาย หรือทายก็ไม่ถูกหรอก ตรงกับภาษาไทยว่า "เธอรู้อะไรไหม" Guess what! หรือ You know what! เพื่อนก็จะตอบว่า "รู้อะไรหรือ" หรือ What?

Run into เป็น 2-word verb แปลว่าเจอโดยบังเอิญ หากเป็นคำกริยากับคำบุรพบทจะแปลว่า วิ่งเข้าชน เช่น run into the wall

For the life of me เป็นสำนวน ดังนั้นจึงไม่เป็นไปตามกฏเหมือน a friend of mine เราไม่พูดว่า for the life of mine สำนวน for the life of me แปลว่า ต่อให้ฆ่าตายก็ทำไม่ได้ ส่วนใหญ่จะใช้บอกว่านึกไม่ออกจริง ๆ I can't remember, for the life of me. อีกสำนวนที่ใกล้เคียงกันคือ to save my life เช่น
