ไม่ต้องพูดพล่ามทำเพลงอะไรกัน ทำรางวัลกันต่อเลยดีกว่าครับ
ตอนที่แล้วเราว่ากันไปถึงปี พ.ศ. 2492 (1949) คราวนี้ว่ากันต่อในยุค 50's กันเลยครับ
รางวัล Oscar ที่ประกาศผลกันในปี พ.ศ. 2493 (1950)
จะเป็นรางวัลที่มอบให้สำหรับหนังที่ออกฉายในปีก่อนหน้า คือปี 1949 นะครับ
โดยคราวนี้ย้ายที่จัดงานกันอีกแล้ว ไปจัดกันที่ RKO Pantages Theatre ใน Los Angeles เมื่อ 23 มีนาคม
โดยพิธีกรคือ Paul Douglas (I) ผลรางวัลประกอบไปด้วย
- Best Picture เรื่อง All the King's Men ของ Robert Rossen - Best Actor คือ Broderick Crawford จากเรื่อง All the King's Men - Best Actress คือ Olivia de Havilland จากเรื่อง The Heiress - Best Supporting Actor คือ Dean Jagger จาก Twelve O'Clock High - Best Supporting Actress คือ Mercedes McCambridge จาก All the King's Men - Best Director คือ Joseph L. ซึ่งช่วงเวลาการจัดงานอยู่ในช่วงเดิมคือ วันที่ 29 มีนาคม
- Best Picture เรื่อง All About Eve ของ Darryl F. Zanuck - Best Actor คือ Jose Ferrer จากเรื่อง Cyrano de Bergerac - Best Actress คือ Judy Holliday จากเรื่อง Born Yesterday - Best Supporting Actor คือ George Sanders จากเรื่อง All About Eve - Best Supporting Actress คือ Josephine Hull จากเรื่อง Harvey - Best Director คือ Joseph L.  - Best Picture คือเรื่อง An American in Paris ของ Arthur Freed - Best Actor คือสุดหล่อ Humphrey Bogart เรื่อง The African Queen - Best Actress คือ Vivien Leigh จากเรื่อง A Streetcar Named Desire - Best Supporting Actor คือ Karl Malden เรื่องเดียวกัน - Best Supporting Actress คือ Kim Hunter จากเรื่องเดียวกันอีกแล้ว - Best Director คือ George Stevens จาก A Place in the Sun - Best Music, Song คือ Hoagy Carmichael (music) กับ Johnny Mercer (lyrics) จากเพลง "In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening" ในเรื่อง Here Comes the Groom

เป็นพิธีกรกับที่ NBC International Theatre มี Conrad Nagel เป็นพิธีกร งานจัดวันที่ 19 มีนาคม

ใน Los Angeles นั้น Donald O'Connor เป็นพิธีกร ส่วนที่ NBC Century Theatre
ใน New York มี Fredric March รับหน้าที่ไป จัดงานกันเมื่อ 25 มีนาคม เมื่อประกาศผลไป
